Nine out of ten questions from first-time buyers are about privacy. Nobody wants a courier holding a box labelled "used socks" at the door. Here's exactly how discreet shipping works on a UK marketplace in 2026 — what you receive, how it's packaged, and what your postie sees.
A plain, unmarked poly-mailer or padded envelope. No return address hinting at the platform, no branded tape, no product description on the label. The customs declaration on international orders reads "personal effects" or "used clothing" — the honest customs category — which reveals nothing beyond "used clothes".
Your item is sealed in a food-grade zip-lock bag to lock in freshness and prevent leaks. Larger sellers add a second outer bag. There's no branded packing slip — just the item and, if the seller adds one, a plain handwritten thank-you note.
Royal Mail Tracked 48 is the UK default — cheap, reliable, and tracked. Tracked 24 is offered by many sellers for £2–£3 extra. Larger sellers use Evri or DPD for parcels above 2kg. All three carriers deliver door-to-door with a tracking number visible in your marketplace account, not just an email.
Standard letterbox delivery for smaller items — no signature needed, nothing to sign for at the door. Parcels above letterbox size will need a signature or safe place; you can set both in Royal Mail's app once you have the tracking number. If nobody's home, the parcel goes to your local sorting office for collection with photo ID.
Does my card statement show what I bought? No. Payments through Worn For You show a neutral platform descriptor on your bank statement — the same as any e-commerce site.
Can the seller see my address? Only for the address label on your specific order. They don't get your email, phone or payment details.
Can I use a PO box or work address? Yes. Any deliverable UK address works.
