Terms of use

These terms govern your use of the Worn For You website — both the editorial guides, comparisons and blog, and the UK marketplace (listings, orders and messaging). Where a section applies to one part only, it says so.

1. Who can use this site

This site and the marketplace are intended for adults aged 18 and over only. By using either you confirm that you are 18 or over. If you are not, please leave.

2. Editorial content

Guides, comparisons, opinion and market data are editorial only. They are not personalised legal, tax or financial advice. Consult a qualified professional for advice on your specific circumstances. Pricing and market data change frequently; we give no warranty as to ongoing accuracy and accept no liability for decisions taken in reliance on editorial content.

3. Accounts and seller eligibility

• You must register using accurate, truthful information and keep your details up to date.
• To list an item for sale you must be 18 or over and have completed identity and age verification through our third-party identity and age-verification provider, or via a documented manual review by our staff.
• Verification status is shown honestly. Where verification is carried out by staff review rather than the third-party provider, it is labelled as manual admin approval — it is never presented as automated third-party verification.
• One account per person. Buying, selling or transferring accounts is not permitted.
• We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms or our content policy.

4. Listings and moderation

• Sellers are responsible for accurate listings — genuine wear duration and condition, correct category, and clear, unedited photographs with embedded metadata (EXIF) removed by our upload process.
• Listings must not depict anyone under 18, must not be non-consensual, and must not solicit off-platform payment or contact.
• All listings are moderated before they appear publicly. We may decline, remove or require edits to any listing, and record the reason.
• We may remove content or accounts at any time to protect buyers, sellers or the integrity of the marketplace.

5. Orders and payment

• Buyers pay through the on-site checkout provided by our payment provider. Off-platform payment is not permitted and is not covered by any protection described here.
• A completed checkout creates an order between buyer and seller; Worn For You facilitates the payment, listing and order process.
• Buyer protection applies to eligible orders placed through on-site checkout. The scope and conditions are shown in your account for each order.
• Sellers receive payouts to a verified account in their own name once the order and any applicable holding period have been completed.
• Marketplace fees, where applicable, are shown to the seller before a listing goes live and again at the point of payout.

6. Shipping

Items are posted within the UK using tracked Royal Mail services in plain, unbranded packaging. Tracking is uploaded to the order. International shipping is not offered initially; if it is introduced, customs descriptions are kept accurate and unobtrusive.

7. Disputes and reports

If an order goes wrong, raise a report from within your account so we can investigate and mediate. This is the primary dispute route for marketplace transactions. Editorial questions are handled separately via the contact page.

8. Intellectual property

All text, layout, design and code are © 2026 Worn For You unless otherwise credited. You may quote up to 200 words with a link back for editorial or research purposes; anything more requires written permission via the contact page. Sellers retain rights to their own listing photographs and descriptions while granting Worn For You a licence to display them in connection with the marketplace.

9. Third-party links

We reference third-party platforms and competitors for comparison. We do not control those sites, do not endorse them beyond the specific statements we make, and are not responsible for their content, policies or practices.

10. Prohibited conduct

• Scraping the site at scale without written permission.
• Republishing our editorial content wholesale.
• Attempting to compromise site security or bypass access or verification controls.
• Impersonating Worn For You, its team or another user.
• Soliciting or accepting payment outside the on-site checkout.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Worn For You is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from use of this site or the marketplace. We facilitate transactions between buyers and sellers but are not the seller of the items. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded (including death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud).

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms; material changes are dated at the top of the page. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance.

13. Jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
