Content policy

This site exists to give UK buyers and sellers of used socks, underwear and leggings information they can actually rely on — instead of the influencer hype and knee-jerk dismissal that dominate most other coverage. This policy sets the standards we hold ourselves to and how you can hold us to them.

Who we are

Worn For You is an editorial site built alongside the Worn For You UK marketplace. The editorial team and the marketplace team share ownership but publish independently. We disclose that relationship on every comparison page and here.

Marketplace relationship disclosure

We are affiliated with the Worn For You marketplace. That affects what we can offer (first-party data on UK seller earnings, pricing and buyer behaviour) and what we cannot claim to be (an entirely neutral third party). We compensate for this by:

• Naming the affiliation explicitly on every page where Worn For You is discussed as a marketplace.
• Comparing honestly against competitors, including cases where a competitor is stronger on a specific criterion.
• Never recommending Worn For You without stating the criteria under which the recommendation is made.
• Publishing pricing bands, red flags and market realities that apply to every platform equally.

How we pick topics

We prioritise questions we see UK buyers and sellers actually ask — in messages, in reviews, on public forums and in search data. We do not chase novelty for its own sake.

Sourcing

• Pricing bands: derived from active-seller data on the Worn For You marketplace, cross-referenced against publicly visible pricing on other UK platforms. Refreshed at least quarterly.
• Earnings figures: aggregated, anonymised payouts across the Worn For You seller base. We publish ranges, never individual seller results.
• Legal & tax: HMRC published guidance, primary UK legislation, and platform policies as they appear on the platforms' own sites at time of writing.
• Competitor claims: platform sites, terms and public statements. We update within 30 days of a material public change.

What we won't do

• Publish content aimed at anyone under 18.
• Publish content that sexualises minors under any framing.
• Publish content promoting off-platform payment, non-consensual transactions or fraud.
• Publish undisclosed sponsored content or affiliate rankings.
• Use AI-generated pricing or earnings figures without human verification.

Corrections

If you spot a factual error — a mispriced band, an outdated platform policy, an inaccurate legal statement — email us via the contact page. We correct within 5 working days and add a dated note at the foot of the page where the correction is material.

AI assistance

We use AI tools for drafting and editing. Every published page is reviewed and fact-checked by a human editor before publishing. Numbers, legal claims and competitor statements are always verified against primary sources.

Advertising & affiliate

This site carries no third-party display advertising and no undisclosed affiliate links. Any internal link to the Worn For You marketplace is disclosed as such at the page level. If that ever changes, we will update this section and mark it at the top of the page.
